Did The NRC Do A Poor Job Of Lying About The Dangers Of Tritium?

Obviously it seems they did, or the headline would not be so transparent. I read somewhere that asking questions draws attention. That and Top 10 lists. Hmm. Nothing at the moment, except my #1 reason to avoid nuclear waste: It is deadly.

Sufficiently riveted? I hope so, because what seemed a simple thought can take forever to express in writing. Note below that the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) downplays the consequences of tritium, in various ways. Wikipedia highlights their bs.

It is really frustrating to think that there are people who will visit their home page and be reassured by their “carefully” crafted poison:

Tritium is a mildly radioactive type of hydrogen that occurs both naturally and during the operation of nuclear power plants. Water containing tritium and other radioactive substances is normally released from nuclear plants under controlled, monitored conditions the NRC mandates to protect public health and safety. The NRC recently identified several instances of unintended tritium releases, and all available information shows no threat to the public. Nonetheless, the NRC is reviewing these incidents to ensure nuclear plant operators have taken appropriate action and to determine what, if any, changes are needed to the agency’s rules and regulations. The following information provides further basic information on tritium and other isotopes released from nuclear power plants, outlines the status of the unintended tritium leaks and the NRC‘s actions.

It really bugs me that they worded things to leave the impression that somehow our health is their first priority. They allow plants to leak tritium out on a regular basis, within their own mandates to protect public health and safety? There are NO safe amounts. At best there are legal limits, and bribes.

Wikipedia: November 13, 2011:

Health risks

Naturally occurring tritium is extremely rare on Earth…

Tritium is an isotope of hydrogen, which allows it to readily bind to hydroxyl radicals, forming tritiated water (HTO), and to carbon atoms. Since tritium is a low energy beta emitter, it is not dangerous externally (its beta particles are unable to penetrate the skin), but it is a radiation hazard when inhaled, ingested via food or water, or absorbed through the skin.

Despite the contradiction in the statement, tritium IS absorbed by the skin.

From, What CNN Will Not Tell You: The Atomic States Of America (Full Film And Synopsis):

Radioactive Isotopes: Strontium-90, Cesium-137, Radioactive Iodine, Plutonium, and Tritium

  • Tritium: Dr. Caldicott: “It’s a really nasty substance”

  • It is absorbed through the skin

  • Tritium is emitted “all of the time by reactors”

  • Dr. Caldicott expressed frustration that the industry denies they are causing cancer

Note also the correlation with Rhabdomyosarcoma

Anyhow… they lie. Whether or not they did a poor job of it may depend on the angle: To those in the know, they lying is obvious, and poorly done. However, to any that can be deceived by the NRC, or any pro-nuclear lobby propaganda, others might consider it to be an easy breezy success.

Madness. Upside down and inside out…

#URTRiPiN’ – If I Don’t “Pay” Taxes How Will I Know What To Do After An Earthquake?

Hmm. I just revised the “about” section, but I may have to do it again. At the moment this blog seems like a good way effectively to channel my frustration with the learned idiocy of the world.

Economics is not my thing, and I mean this in just about every way possible. I tested out of high school two years early, so I missed a basic course on it, and for whatever reasons, I avoided the topic in college and graduate school. My personal finances have been a mess for most of my working life.

However, it does not take a specialist to understand that taxes are not paid. Taxes are stolen. In this case it seems they may have been stolen from the stupid people targeted by this post. They really said this:

Want to make sure you get fast notifications whenever the National Tsunami Warning Center issues an alert or a statement? Send a text to 40404 with the message ‘follow_NWS_NTWC’. You will get texts of every National Tsunami Center Warning, Advisory, Watch, or Statement as soon as it is issued. This is the text message for March 9. It was sent 4 minutes after the earthquake. The preliminary magnitude at that time was 7.0. The USGS subsequently revised it to 6.8. NOTE – if the ground shaking had been strong enough on March 9 to damage communications and cell towers – you wouldn’t have received the text. Use the natural warning of the long-lasting ground shaking to evacuate if you are in a tsunami zone.

My comment:

Use the ground shaking as a warning? Who did not know this? Sigh. Taxes “justified” again. “I see a big wave but government did not text me. Is it real?” :op … If they didn’t pay* taxes, we might just let the idiots who gather at the beach to sort of weed themselves out of the gene pool. … *taxes are not paid; they are stolen.

Today In History: Turkey Sends Corruption A Message By Flipping The Bird

West coast time, here. It is still March 21, 2014, for another 1.5 hours.  Otherwise, consider this yesterday in history. Either way, we posit that this is one of the most epic failures, ever. Submitted to the time capsule, and review pending.

I don’t want people thinking I am scum. Let me do a really crappy thing and shut down Twitter, to prove that I am not scum, and to keep people from talking about me for a week or so.

The Turkish government’s court-ordered block of Twitter has been denounced by many as an attempt to quell allegations of official misdeeds. But the government’s threats have not stopped with Twitter; Google has reportedly declined Turkey’s request to remove YouTube videos that allege government corruption, sources told The Wall Street Journal. Full Story

#URTRiPiN’ And You Are The Red Pill News

Here is the latest incarnation of the mission statement, so to speak, of The Red Pill News:

The purpose/point of this blog is to aggregate news and information in regard to our liberty and our freedoms. Original content may be posted now and again, but for the most part this site will serve as a collection of what is going on the world, as well as (hopefully) spark some fire into the souls on their journey in “the matrix.” Asking the right questions is a good place to start. Repetition/rote can result in obfuscation of “truths” that otherwise would raise a lot of good questions. As “they” say: Problems have to be identified before they can be solved.

My goal is to stock the site with serious, important and relevant material – lots of “red pill” stuff. It is not easy, but necessary. The only options after waking up are remaining vigilant while figuring out how best to move forward, or plugging back in (Cypher did this in the movie, but it was an allegory about how selling the soul is required in order to go back to a state of ignorance). So: remain awake, or join the ranks of the zombies working for the new world order.

Remember: It’s always darkest before the dawn of the light at the end of the tunnel. Er, something like that.

Links appear also above the page header image in the “Everything Else” sub-menu.

Strength to you on this journey.

Operation Tomodachi – What Happened To U.S. Service Members Suing For Fukushima Radiation Exposure?

Operation Tomodachi  – What Happened To U.S. Service Members Suing For Fukushima  Radiation Exposure?

The headline pretty much says it. Per the most recent report that I can find, there was a court date scheduled for October, 2013.

They will be in federal court in San Diego on Oct. 3 to fight a TEPCO motion for a change of venue to Tokyo and a motion to dismiss, Garner said.

The plaintiffs allege that TEPCO lied about the risk of exposure, luring American forces closer to the affected areas and lulling others at bases across Japan to disregard safety measures. They are seeking at least $40 million each in compensatory and punitive damages and more than $1 billion for a fund to cover health monitoring and medical expenses.

Most of the plaintiffs contacted by Stars and Stripes did not return messages. Several said they were being threatened and harassed through anonymous phone calls and social media for bringing the suit and declined to comment. The plaintiffs have been accused of being fortune-seekers by their peers and for allegedly sullying the operation’s goodwill.

Is Your Head In The Sand At Ground Zero? How To Get Fukushima Updates

Last night I happened to catch Ground Zero, with Clyde Lewis, as a show that normally I listen to at that time was airing a rebroadcast. I am grateful that finally he decided to cover this topic, yet I was shocked to realize that despite his claims of doing research all day (which quickly he clarified had taken place over four or five days), he still did not understand even the basics of what was going on. Fortunately, it seemed he learned as the show progressed; new information was provided, and calls came in.

It is nothing personal, but I found the astonishment/amazement of Lewis to be somewhat annoying. Radiation has been spewing from the plant for nearly three years. Perhaps this is common of anybody who may have just now made the effort to stay informed about the most important issue affecting our survival, but it did not inspire hope. Making more of an effort to gather “facts” from Revelation seems irresponsible in the face of facts about the science of reality, in this case.

My Concerns:

Lewis was not clear as to which units had melted down, and how many. The spent fuel rods are being stored in Unit 4, yet he said they were going to open the gates of hell this month, to see if the core to reactor #4 was still there, or if it had melted down. WTF?

NOTE: The cores of reactors 1-3 have melted down AND through. That is, they melted right through the containment, and beyond. Nobody seems to know where they are. This is the situation that Lewis describes as being “The China Syndrome”. Once a hypothetical situation from a movie, now it is quite real. However, at Fukushima there were three melt-throughs. The Unit 4 cooling pond is 100 feet in the air, and damaged. This is far worse than the nightmare scenario presented in the movie.

Lewis claimed that one of the reasons he waited to do the show is because of the fatalistic nature of the topic. He speculated that the reason that the story of Fukushima has disappeared from mainstream news is because people will wary of feeling helpless. Or, there are only so many times that people can be told their lives and the life of the planet are threatened, before they tune out. The fact is, the threat to our survival is quite real, and pussy footing around it to avoid making people think about the real world is not acceptable – Take two RNA drops and call me in the morning?

I can understand not wanting to surround ones self with fatalistic information, but that even Lewis had to go searching for information about Fukushima at all is disconcerting, to say the least. Rather than focus on the substantive aspects of the catastrophe, Lewis seemingly remained in somewhat of a denial mode, as well as made a stretch to tie all of this in with the Book of Revelation (Chapter 8), Wormwood, and comet ISON.

PROBLEM: How can people opt to tune out from a reality that was never presented to them, fully, in the first place? We have learned that much of what we were told was not accurate, or blatant lies. How much value is there in doing an initial exploration of the science, in conjunction with making a defense that it is tied in to Biblical prophecy that was allegedly about Chernobyl?

We have been conditioned that if something is not on television, it is not real, or not to be taken seriously. Indeed, for many, regardless of information that may come their way, if it was not on television, they do not believe it. This is a big problem, considering that television is run by the State, and corporations: we only see what they want us to see.

Considering all that Lewis has been through with his health, I do not blame him for not wanting to take in information that may drain precious energy. Yet, I see no value in denying the full magnitude of this calamity by hoping it is not so. This seems so “New Age” to me: if we do not think about, it is not real.

Reality is that which, even when you stop believing in it, doesn’t go away – Philip K. Dick

Where To Get Information About Fukushima

Hosts of shows on independent media have been covering the topic. Most notably, Truth Frequency Radio – Look for updates from The Energy Show With Liam Scheff. Various hosts from Down The Rabbit Hole, and The Freedom Link, also cover Fukushima. One of their primary sources:

Fukushma Response on Facebook – for updates, as well as events taking place, locally.

Fukushima Response Bay Area   / Fukushima Is Here:

A couple of weeks ago, I posted the following aside, below, to Social Work Unplugged:

Fukushima After Awareness: Are We Prepared For Decades Of Radiation Updates?

Right after posting, here about Fukushima, I had to go back and make an edit, as I discovered claims that concerns about contaminated seafood are overblown. Then this from RT, only a few hours later: Heavy rains overflow barriers surrounding Fukushima water tanks.

The following are reflections on what to add as a comment for sharing the article on Facebook:

Wait. Just a few hours ago we were being reassured that all that bad radiation is tapering off and getting dispersed in the ocean.

Next concern: since awareness of the gravity of a problem is required in order to do something about it,  how do more people learn about what is really happening at Fukushima, and across the globe, in order to apply enough pressure?

It’s not that politicians care about us, but if it becomes too obvious that they are killing us off, they may need to move ahead. Then again, destruction is all that they seem to desire,  so perhaps there is no moving ahead for those who do not mind taking their chances with the entire planet – this “War on Terra”.

Anyhow, if we are afforded the time, how will we strike a sane balance of staying aware of what is happening at Fukushima, with the reality that this will continue to be a pressing concern for many generations/decades?

No Victim, No Crime? Adam Kokesh Pleads Guilty To Gun Charges

Per the Washington Post:

Kokesh’s impromptu plea came during an unscheduled hearing in D.C. Superior Court, just two weeks after he pleaded not guilty to the charges and told Judge Patricia A. Broderick that he was exercising his constitutional rights. Kokesh, who had grown a long, thick beard while in custody, said he was replacing his attorney, who had been involved in the case since Kokesh’s arrest.

A trial had been scheduled for Nov. 18, and Kokesh’s supporters had been advocating for jury nullification in his case.

But Wednesday, standing next to his new attorney, Kokesh pleaded guilty to carrying a rifle or shotgun, possession of an unregistered firearm and unlawful possession of ammunition. In a separate case, Kokesh pleaded guilty to marijuana possession. Full article, here

I learned first of Adam’s plea and release via a Facebook post by Christopher Cantell“Did Adam Kokesh “Sell Out” By Taking a Plea?” In the comments above the post, Cantwell stated,

Jury nullification, clogging up the courts, these are great ideas, and it’s worth talking about them. The problem is, when you yourself are facing years and decades in prison, it’s usually not a good idea to gamble your life away on them.”

At the moment, his site is not working. I look forward to reading what he has to say when things are back up, and running.

Adam has taken a lot of criticism for his actions. Some have noted his cockiness/arrogance may have been the problem, and the WP article seems to focus on that, as a warning to all who may brag that they got away with something in the police state:

As today’s plea demonstrates, there are consequences for anyone who flagrantly abuses our city’s firearms and drug laws, Machen said.

Reading just a few comments on the coverage of this is quite telling in regard to public opinion. I am mindful that most of these people commenting are part of the “liberty” revolution. It does not seem that the liberal-progressives even know who Adam is, and this is why, IMO, Adam is better for the cause outside of prison than in.

Looks can be deceiving, and he may be a devil in blue jeans, but he seems genuinely kind, and genuinely frustrated. Despite his plea, I am not sure if he will be any more gentle, or predictable, but hopefully he will leverage this overstepping of the police state to his advantage, and continue to bring the message of real hope, real change, and real freedom, to those who have not yet heard.

Just for the sake of venting, some of my Facebook comments:

  • He did not do anything illegal … The U.S. Supreme court ruled the ban is unconstitutinal … ANY ban is, really… “No victim, no crime” … Cantwell will cover this… It seems too Pollyanna in the age of the police state … the NWO is HERE. NOW. It is not on the way, so no need to buy books on how to stop it. As another of my favorite vets likes to say, our task now is to figure out how to live with it … and fight it from this base of knowledge and understanding …
  • A “crime” used to be one law: any act that resulted in harm to another. Now we have endless thousands of laws. Now watering your yard is a crime against your neighbor … and like Gladys Cravitz, people seem to just be waiting for the slightest screw up, so they can beg the state to smite their neighbor over something that does not affect them at all … just about control
  • Agenda 21 cities stack people on top of one another, and get them to seek conformity … in the interest of that dirty phrase, “the common good”… It is a great theory, but it never applies to you, or me, or any individual. It is always this nebulous group of humans that benefit… Right, Spock-aganda?: The needs of the many outweigh the needs if the few… but, many cannot be found. Once we attempt to figure out who the many are, we focus on individuals, whose rights are outweighed by the many. – This lovely thought of helping all of mankind is a way of protecting the State and its corporate whores. That is it. It does not have to be this way, but this is the way it is. Remember that the next time you have a grievance with a neighbor, and run to the police to punish them for non-conformity
  • Uncle Same Wants You! to sacrifice your quality of life, in order to maintain one world religion, and a private, centralized banking system. – In the interest of the common good, maintain your allegiance, even if it requires your annihilation…. In the meantime, “do as thou wilt”, like us … ? When THEY say harm none, they are not referring to us. I wish people got that. We are not part of their definition of people. By “harm none”, they are referring to their own group, and their group does not like us breathing their air, and drinking their water… They would rather see it poisoned than go to us. Yes, they are that crazy…

For whatever reasons, I amglad that Adam is out of jail, at least for now, as he is has the ability to be quite effective with a camera, and a microphone.

Adam!: It’s nice to see that smile, brother. We are all in this together. I wish you the best.

[Edit: Cantwell’s link is working, now … stay tuned]
